so I was just thinking while playing this nascar game with my hubby...... in real life when nascar drivers are driving for like 4-5 hours straight don't they have to use the restroom? What do they do if they have to pee or poo? I mean do they wear depends? lol!!!

They have to hold it in and then when the driver gets out,instead of talking to the media, they go to the bathroom. If you won the race, then you get out of victory lane and go to the bathroom. This has happened to Tony Stewart.

Well I'm not sure about the "poo" part, but I have seen interviews with some that said they have wet themselves during races. As a rule though, I think the majority usually just don't have to go during a race. They sweat out their fluids, and thus don't have to "pee". But you know, they could wear depends! Like the astronauts do. Might be a little awkward in victory lane though, if they get soggy, saggy diapers!

about a year or so ago during a race tony stewart poohed his pants because he had to go. and a few years ago dale jr won and when he got out of his car he told the guy who was interviewing him he had to go. and he left the stage and went. i heard also that it is so hot inside the cars that if you did pee your suit it would dry in a matter of mins and no one would be able to smell you because of all the " car " smells. someone told me at a race last year one driver was so sick and he had the runs the night befor he did wear a depends.
but in my honest opinion i don't think any driver will admit to anyone that the did pee or poo themselves. so we might never know..lol

During a 2004 race at Sonoma, Tony Stewart had the flu. His tummy was cramping badly and he had diarrhea in his firesuit. He won the race and avoided interviews until after he had showered. He's still my second favorite driver.

I seen an interview with Dale Jr, and he said "if ya gotta go, you go, but we are so hot in those cars (130+ degrees) you hardly ever have to". They sweat out any excess fluid. I suppose with poo, the "if ya gotta go, go" still applies! lol!

you know how men are......poo first thing in the morning. as far as peeing......they sweat out the fluids....
