Have Cordless plugged in but have a corded one available as when the power goes out so does the cordless.... :)

Well, I'm always tripping over the wires on the cordless phones
:-p Nah, I reckon the cordless ones are better, you don't have to worry about making the wall follow you around :-p

I only have a cell phone...much more convenient, but if I did have a phone line (which I had until my cell... ) at home, I'd have both...a cordless doesn't work if the electricity is out.....

BOTH! i use cordless and cell phone at home, but please read on......
from experience, i can tell you that when there is an electrical power outage, the cordless phone is not operational since the base is tied into the AC power.
the corded phone, requiring NO batteries and NO AC power is the best backup.
