how can i connect my mac laptop to my desktop mac through firerwire?

Hi Nikita...after hooking up the firewire cable start up your Powerbook in target mode by holding the "T" key when you restart the laptop...you're Macbook will show up as on the desktop of the desktop Mac.

You need to put your laptop into "Target Mode" To do this, just hold down the "T" key on start-up of the laptop. Your other Mac will recognize this as a disk image, and you can access it just as if you were accessing an external hard drive.
