I am Black and so many people thought I was Dominican because I know how to dance Salsa and Meringue really well, I can speak Spanish, I have olive complexion plus my hair's natural texture is fine and is pass my shoulders. When asked was I Dominican, I said no that I was Black, the people asking, which I took offense to, said no you can't be because you don't look Black you look mixed. I was offended because I can't understand what Black people are suppose to look like . Black people come in all shades, colors, and not all of us have the same facial features and shapes. I have many people in my family that have green and my grandmother has blue eyes and consider themselves Black because of both of their parents were Black people. I know in reality along our family tree we are all mixed with another nationality, but I base my ethnicity on what my parents and my grandparents are.

Im Vietnamese, in school and real life they ask me if Im Chinese, Korean, Japanese, or Flippino, then afterwards they have no idea. After I tell them Im Vietnamese they're like ok... where is that language came from -_- . Lots of my friends try to defend, but then forget Im Vietnamese (for the most part).

on the phone people say I talk like a hillbilly hick river rat & I say , you know it's funny you say that cause I was raised in the foot hills of the ozarks along side the river. I'm like wondering if that has anything to do with it? Reckon.

i'm white and have an olive complexion. i used to stay pretty tan as youngster. i once had a neighnor at my apartment complex ask me to speak to the maintenance man for her. it turns out she thought i was mexican and wanted me to speak spanish to the guy. i live in texas where there a lot of them, and other ethnicities for that matter, i'm just not one of them. i told the lady, i'm sorry but i'm white and told her where someone i knew who did speak spanish lived.

I am very tall, thin, blue eyed blonde born in America. Yet people constantly ask if I am European, German, Swedish and Scandanavian. They actually say "No, come on, really." when I tell them I am from Arizona.
