I did it last summer. If you just want to drive and do very little sightseeing then a week will be enough. If you want to have more fun, add and extra week. I spent about $100 per night on average for hotel. Most included breakfast and I spent about $25 per day for food. Gas is going to be your biggest cost.

It depends on if it's only you doing the driving, and if you're in a hurry to get there. If it's only you, and you're stopping overnight to sleep, it should take about 4 days of nonstop driving. It's more fun to sightsee on the way. If you sleep in your car at a Wallmart parking lot you can save money (use their bathroom and eat breakfast there...all the RV's do it), but if you're a single girl, I'd worry a little. Take about $500 and use credit cards as much as possible.
Have fun

3 days to drive from Savannah, Ga to LA, Calif. Figure what kind of mileage your car gets, how many miles your are driving and take a guess at the average cost of gas. Sorry .. no one knows how to figure that for you without more info. Have a fun/safe trip.

It's really hard to know; too many variables--type of car and its mileage, the way you drive, how much gas prices vary across the country, the route you take, how long you drive every day.

Many times. Fastest I ever did it was 4 days, but that is a helluva lot of driving. Costs are gas, food, motels.

Yea, I drove from California to Missouri. It was incredibly long. As far as cost, that varies. You have to account the gas, food, lodging.
