I don't think so because that only benefits just a small group of people or favoritism, unless all religions are funded and then that would be a free for all, I would create my own religion for sure. It's clear that it's a use of public fund to get votes. Mark another crime of the Bush administration.

If it has to be a black and white answer my stand is no! Religious institutions are built on personal faith. We don't all have the same faith so we cannot benefit equally from public tax money which we pay equally into.
Many will fight this argument with things like what about welfare or money for the homeless..... But that is different, welfare is about surviving, eating and living. Not like religion which is all about an unproven survival of one's faith.

Government should not be in the religious institutions of the people. If these institutions want money they can get it through private donations just like everybody else. What makes churches for example so special?

Public money shouldn't be spent expressly on religious institutions. It's not fair for people to have to support beliefs they don't believe in against their will.

Of course, I don't think that means public money should never end up at a religious institution. If the money is spent on a general program, with several institutions eligible for funding, I don't see a problem with some religious institutions getting money so long as the money isn't spent purely on spreading faith.

So, for example, giving the Catholic Church a million dollars for the sake of giving them a million dollars is bad.

Giving school vouchers, which can be spent at public, private, or religious schools, is ok.

Tax funding for religious institutions would never work, there are so many that people would only want money going to one type of religious group. Never the less fighting all of the time. Churches/temples would pop up everywhere, for the wrong reasons. As well would new/fake religions. If it where up to me funding would go to Christian institutions, but if you give it to one you must give it to all.

NO, no longer until it extremely is the form of undertaking the place it extremely is an quite scientific prefer extremely than "i do no longer prefer it". you be attentive to, if it extremely is a tubal being pregnant, or a neglected miscarriage. In those situations it extremely is critical. yet i think of it extremely is incorrect to ask taxpayers to foot the invoice for homicide simply by fact somebody have been given pregnant at an inconvenient time. it is incorrect. like another *non-compulsory* scientific tactics - breast implants, nostril jobs, getting your enamel capped - it would be paid for by the guy in seek of the *non-compulsory* - no longer necessary - technique. i'm occupied with properly-known wellness care, yet non-compulsory abortions do no longer fall under that heading. it extremely isn't any longer medically necessary to abort a being pregnant that may not a threat on your wellness.

um... this is an easy one... Hell no!

Pros: Lets see, the church will benefit from this because they will get plenty of money... you know, since they don't have enough already.

Cons: Not all tax payers are religious and as such their money would be going to a "cause" they don't support.
If I knew that my hard earned money was going to help some people babble about their faith and preaching about goodness when they themselves cause so much strife, I would be pee-oh'ed.

Absolutely not!!!! In fact we should start taxing churches if they want to keep speaking out about public policy, let them pay their admission to America like everone else.

Side bonus, the increased revinues would help balence the budget.

Why not? The government funds freebies for those that don't want to work, our tax dollars are used for useless roads and museums, and to fund things you may never know about.
