Im in 8th grade at a Magney Middle School.
My grades arent going so well. [3 c's, D in math]
I always bomb my tests, and dont really study much. And my mother says im too much of a social butterfly.
What can i do to help me do better?

Organize your papers. One folder for each subject, and don't mix the papers. Come home, and start your hw, and *work for 40 minutes. Take a break to do what you like for 10 minutes. But be working once that break is over. Go for another 40 minutes. And then take another 10 minute break. Work for 35 minutes. Take a break for an hour. Repeat from *. If all else fails, unplug your computer. You have to really want to get good grades. It sound really cheesy, but it's true. If you think "I'm no good at Math" You're not going to focus in math class, you're not going to understand the hw b/c you weren't paying attention in class, and you'll fail the tests b/c you didn't do the hw b/c you didn't know HOW to. Set your standards high, and every time you will reach them.

Try to study at least 30 minutes a night per subject if you have a test that week. If you don't like this, look up some games for those types of classes on the internet. They help me a lot and I am in the 11th grade.

1. Use your study halls wisely.
2. Turn in all your homework.
3. Ask questions in class when you don't understand something.
4. Make flashcards for all your tests. Make yourself study them, and then reward yourself with something (phone call to friend?) every half hour of studying.
GOOD LUCK!! You can do it. School isn't hard if you put forth some effort.

take some advice from an honor roll student: studying actually helps alot!! im in 8th grade too so i kno wat ur going thru. i bombed my last history test but that was cuz i didnt study. all u have to do is find some way to make studying fun and make it a habit. it truly works.

try bringing the subjects into life. like counting and mutiplying your friends. or try to figure out how much it would cost if you bought shoes for you and your friend with a 10% discount. and she gave you some money to pay for the tax. put the money in front of you and work it out for real. just try to have fun and ps. ask your friend to ask you questions

Personally I think for with poor grades and wasting time on Yahoo Answers you deserve a good caning. Tell your parents.
