I'm working on a project and I need to know what that would be in dollars. The only problem is I think the exchange rate has changed and I can't find what it was in 2002. Any help would be appreciated! Also, if you could provide a link explaining it, that would be great. My professor is strict.

Please let us know which country you are talking about. Mexico, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and the Philippines all use pesos, and the exchange rates are different for each.

The Mexican peso has been hovering between 9.5 and 10.8 to the US dollar since 2000. According to the link below, the average rate in 2002 was 9.66 pesos per US dollar. At 9.66 Pesos / USD, 220000 pesos = $22774.32
Today, the average rate for buying dollars is 10.92 pesos / US dollar.
