To learn something, to cause trouble, or just curious. Do people get mad at your questions before they even read it? You can sometimes see that in the answers they respond with.

Why it gotta be a race thing????????

Ok seriously, I kinda swing all directions on these questions and answers I give. I have a habit to answer a question a person asks, no matter whose morals or ego might be offended. Like I answered a question about ways to commit suicide... 30 people answered and said things like "don't do it..." or "get help..." but that was not the question. So I answered it with info exactly as he asked... And got negative ratings out the butt... Shameful..

I sometimes ask questions to try to understand other cultures or to hear opinions of a particular race. I never mean to cause trouble or offend or anything, I'm just thirsty for knowledge and I want to understand other people and cultures better.

People usually label me a racist right away without even reading the whole question first. Instead of actually answering the question they respond by calling me a racist. I wonder if they realize they are being racist themselves by automatically assuming a white person asking about black culture is a racist without even reading the whole question.

If you want an example, here's a racial question I asked: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApUKVwd1VzDbqmCpdKFOryPsy6IX?qid=20060713052454AAecyMk

It seems like a white person can't talk or ask about anything that has to do with another race without people accusing them of racism. I've seen it happen too often.

When I look at some people's answers about race, see the same answers over and over, I will post it as a question. Also, I really want to know the answers to some of them. I don't try to make people mad, they just get mad and defensive. That is one of the reasons why I posted the "why does race make people so angry" question. I really want to know why. I am also posting these questions for a different reason, but I won't let the secret out.

If I ask racial questions it is because I am curious. I ususally do not ask the question unless the people I am talking to brings it up. Makes it an open conversation. Otherwise I keep it to myself and may ask a close friend/family member their opinion.

to learn something, curiosity, and to see where people are in terms of race relations. i do end up causing trouble. i ask questions with stereotypes ( like is it true that asians have smaller *****) to see if people fall into them and some people do. i wanted to see how many people would say thats wrong! and how many people would agree. others dont realize my intentions and think i believe the stereotypes when im seeing if they do. a lot of people call me racist but that is what i want because im glad to know stereotypes havent completely taken over!

Racial questions I don't really go there... but try POLITICS if you want to get a stir out of people. I think people like to put others down or say what is on their mind, lots of times because they believe what they are saying, and lots of times because they just want to be *****.

To learn something, like I don't understand why so many Hispanics only date white people. And some Asians too. Or I don't understand why most mixed people (I'm black) consider themselves black instead of half black. Some people are just touch though, in answer to your question about getting mad.

i dont ask racial questions (though it might spark some interest) b/c it can be dangerous (not so much here but in person, the person might not take it the way i want and there might be a big mess) unless it is someone im good friends w/ then there is no problem!

I'm not racist, in the least bit, my two bestfriends in the whole world are african american and caucasian, and I'm latin!! so its not a matter of being rude, its just curiosity.....

I don't ask racial questions. I not racist and really it doesn't matter to me. people are people no matter what color they are. Even if they're blue, green, purple, or orange, they're still just people.
