Both are great directors, but I give the nod to Spielberg. I also feel Spielberg has overall better movies... although he's taken some risk on some films that really haven't shown his directing abilities (that film that everyone forgets about that starred Tom Hanks running around in an airport). As for who would win in a fight, I think Jackson would punch Spielberg's lights out.
