well it is up to players... they have decent goalie which is one advantage. they need strong forward line and good defencemen

It looks like they're gonna need another sniper and at least 1 but more like 3 more defencemen capable of playing 15-20 or so NHL quality minutes per game.
There's also the Luongo issue. It's always a big switch for a goalie to switch teams and situations such that the load put on him is going to be a lot more or a lot less. He's going from a relatively defense-weak, goals for-weak team to a defense-middle of the road, goals for-good team. That's a big switch for a goalie in terms of the role you put on yourself to do the best job you can for your team.
Because of these things I don't think they'll win the Cup. If everything fit together, then they'll make a run for it but there're some holes and some unanswered questions.

I hope so 'cause the Manitoba Moose is the farm team for Vancouver. The team itself has a lot of good players that contributed a lot of wins. Right now, I am crossing my fingers that the Canucks win Lord Stanley.

I highly doubt it. They're my hometeam. I think they're overrated. They're one of the favourites every year to win the Cup but chokes in the playoffs. They got a better goalie now but they're going to fall short once again.

when hell freezes over, they are tainted by the firing of GM Brian Burke who has left a black cloud over them. They will struggle to get an 8th seed due the vast improvemnents of Columbus , Minnesota and Calgary. They could get 85 pts and miss the playoffs, It could take 90 plus pts to get an 8th seed. The Western Conference is stocked.

I think they will make the playoff's, however since they are in a bit of smalll rebuilding mode, they wont advance very far. It will be good for Luongo to finally gets some playoff expierence

A legitimate contender, but that trophy takes a lot of skill and luck to win, June is a ways away.

It really depends on how Luongo does, at least he has a reseptable defence in front of him and we will she id the first 2 lines can gel
If the above happen I can see them going deep in the playoffs. but witht the new CBA it really a crap shoot
Go nucks Go
