I got Maybelline Intense XXL, and when I applied it, it didn't look too great; It was all clumpy and stuff. How can I fix this? Any tips or tricks?

I use the same mascara here's what I do:

Step 1: sweep the white basecoat from base to tip make sure you do not have excess of the whitebase coat & allow about 30 to 60 seconds to dry before the next step..you only need 1 coat any more and then you have clumps before you use the black topcoat

Step 2: immediately after the base coat apply the black topcoat ( you don't need more than 2 coats of mascara remove any excess mascara on the comb)

Step 3: eye a eyebrow comb to take off the excess

After this you should be fine also check the experation date to make sure it's not old if it is old you should return it right away!

That mascara doesn't work on me either! And my friends who wear it think it looks good- but I just think it makes your lashes look Grey and clumpy. Try applying a very thin layer of the lengthener, and then use a lash comb to separate your lashes and reduce the clump- do the same thing when you apply the mascara- using the lash comb between each coats- you'll probably have to put on at least three coats before you're done- And then curl your eyelashes when your done- it'll help finalize the look- And if nothing else works try a different mascara-- Lash-in-a-tube from Physician's Formula and Maybelline Great Lash works really well for me!

I always keep a clean, dry mascara wand (saved from an old tube) around to brush out the clumps after applying a coat of mascara. You can use a brow brush, too, if you don't have a wand handy (although they don't work quite as well).

After taking the wand out of the mascara let it sit 30 seconds or so to dry a little. Mascara that is too wet has a tendency to clump.

I use the same brand and you don't need a lot of it. Let it dry between coats and I wouldn't put more than two or three on. If it's clumpy and yucky, there's a chance that you grabbed a really old tube.

The mascara I swear via (no clumps, no not something! no lie!) is from Sephora... city Decay enormous Fatty Mascara. It would not even look as in the adventure that your donning mascara, merely seems such as you have the longest lashes interior the worldwide. the sole con is that as quickly as you cry, it exhibits! :-( simply by fact it is not water-evidence. yet, merely stay chuffed and not something will go incorrect!

Before applying your mascara wipe the brush in a kleenex, this will get off the excess and it won't be clumpy when you apply it.

There are mascara combs that can take care of the clump, but I also think that you need to change your mascara. I am not really into big brands, but I really like Dior mascaras that not only thicken but they also lengthen the lashes.

Dior show (christian dior)
Dior unlimited
Benefit bad Gal lash
lancome hypnose
and if you dont want to spend the extra $ for the bigger brands.. I know Max Factor as a volumizing mascara that may work for you. I know a few who use it and love it.
