to make themselves look better by making fun of others .

Is it that big a deal? I grew up in a predominately Mexican neighborhood where you were "Surfer Boy" until you proved yourself in sports or fighting.Some people are just plain mean and don't like anyone different so they have to label them,let it roll off your back,they're the idiots,not you.The guys would say "I'll bet you eat roast beef and mashed potatos every night" and I'd say "I wish we could afford it!"
You are known for re-frieds so they call you beaner so what.
