I want my daughter and I to get a makeover, right type of makeup to wear and how to apply. Any suggestions? I have done mary kay, lancome, avon. They make you look like a night on the town or the makeup comes off in two hours.

2 hours? Have they set everything w/powder or do the want to make you & your daughter spend more money? Try a local beauty school, high end departments stores (bloomingdales, macy's, filenes, etc.) or maybe a dermatoligist who can recommend cosmetics for both of your skin types & pros to show ya'll how to apply it properly so ya'll don't look hoochie. Also look in style magazines for tips & product ratings (Cosmo, Life & Style, Glamour, Jr Cosmo, etc)for you both; they have great articles and advice (plus makeovers rock)!!! See if her &/or your hairdresser knows anything, too; some are cosmetologists but make sure you have a list of questions and concerns no matter who you see, or take advice from. Good luck !!! Remember 1 thing though, the packaging is the only difference in cosmetics, just read the ingredient list & you'll see what I mean. XOXO

Try the the virtual make over by Mary Kay and then contact a consultant in your area. Mary Kay offers products to make your eye wear last longer plus you need to remember to keep your hands away from your face. I am a person that sweats a lot and was advised by a friend who is a MK consultant to carry a napkin in my purse and when I feel the need to wipe the sweat from my face to dab it with the napkin in stead that way you do not remove much make up. I would normally recommend Mary Kay. Maybe you should try a different consultant than the last time. Tell them what you want or what kind of look you are going for. If she doesn't work with your wants, at least it was free!
