mget worked great but I still had to go into each directory. Oh well, it's Ms Dos, what did I expect ???

you can try 'mget' and pass it a wildcard. See if that works.

Sometimes ms-dos doesn't work really good, specially when you try to get pictures they won't show as picture, try this software better:
http://www.coffeecup.com/direct-ftp/

But if you still wan to know about ms-dos and ftp I'll tell you:
1. Open up MS-Dos.
2. Now type ftp plus your website: Example:
ftp www.geocities.com
3. Now add your user name and hit enter
4. Type your password and hit enter
5. If you did right now you are in your ftp site
6. To get your files just type get + File
7. If you want to know more about navegation with ms-dos into
ftp use the help command.

Bye!

vtevo has it right.... but it's true for any command line ftp program, not just msdos.

once you enter 'ftp' all the commands are different. more like Unix!
