i'm 13 year old and i have a hero and she's 19. She's really like a sister to me but i'm afarid to tel her that part, but she knows she's my hero. But any who, I have already started my period. But i want to ask her how old she was when she did. I dont wanna sound weird, and it's really hard for me to talk about things like this. But i want to break the wall down about this kind of stuff with her, and be able to talk to her about it. If you know what i mean, because i cant talk to my mom about it. But i was wondering if anyone knew anyways to ask, because i'm pretty nervous. Any experiences?

Because she is also a female and I know I was nervous to talk about that kind of stuff too when I was young but these days I think if you two have a great relationship I think she would be honor for u to talk to her about that with her. She may laugh about it but maybe because how nervous you are about the subject but I think she will have a same attitude like some of us answering you. All of us women and females go through just what your going through too. Please don't feel strange it's all about being a women dear. Be sure to let your mom know as well due to it is very important later to see a GYN Dr. which is another step and a big health part in your life as well.
Your hero & friend is there for you so pick the phone and call her:o)

I would find a time when the two of you have some privacy and just ask her. She probably won't think it is weird and will be flattered that you asked! Plus she can help you with any other questions you may have.

i think you should ask her... she wont think your "weird" in fact, she'll probably feel more close to you knowing you can come and talk to her. I was about 13 when i got it so you are perfectly normal. I know people who have gotten it between 10-18
But trust me on this one...she will really appriciate you asking her.

If I were you I wouldn't ask her because its really not that important and she probably won't want to talk about it anyways. So why don't you just ask everyone on here instead.
