Perhaps the best metaphor for freedom would be wild animals out of captivity on the scope of the Peaceable Kingdom. The Lion and lamb laying down together send a message of what life should be like. An expanded view would be the Garden of Eden with the apples prominently featured, without the snake. A nude Adam and a nude Eve represent Man and Woman before the strictures of society forced them to abandone their personal freedom for clothes.

Make a collage of whatever you want. Then, when the person who assigned the project asks you what about it means "freedom", you say, "This collage depicts the freedom to choose your own subject matter for a collage." Why do art teachers always try to dictate subject matter? Art is about PERSONAL expression.
