Can you really make money of it. How can i find a work at home position after i get the training that i need?

Medical coding is the career necessitated by all the regulations and rules imposed by the government and payers for health care.

The coder reviews the patients chart and matches the services and notes and tests from that chart to a set of codes. ICD is one standard. There is software to help the coder do this job. Once the specific codes are matched then providers can be paid

It requires attention to detail and the ability to understand complex medical terms.

I am not sure the amount of schooling necessary.

length of schooling is about 2 years at the local technical college(which may be shorter if there is more interest and higher classlad at your local tech. col.)
