Just wondering which of the photo-sharing Web sites out there (Flickr, Snapfish, Shutterfly, etc.) is the best? Which should I use, and why?

I use the new Yahoo! Photos because it's practical. Take, for instance, its 1) features 2) price, and 3) speed/ease of use.

1) Public vs. private ("invitation only") photo albums and other permissions can be setup with free email invitations

2) The new Yahoo! Photos is FREE and allows unlimited photo uploading

3) It's fast, because it utilizes a popular "new" programming technique called AJAX, which allows you to drag and drop items on a Web page and submit changes without refreshing the Web page. This means that you can drag and drop photos into albums to sort them. It also links to your Yahoo! account, so your mail, answers, and photos are easy to access.

Flickr (now owned by Yahoo!) is the coolest of them all because of its community-oriented atmosphere--based on tagging, photostreams, and groups--and regular use by hipsters who define what is cool. A Flickr url is the perfect way to display your recent Park Avenue night out and/or show off your new beret.

Flickr costs, though, for even normal usage. The free account only allows 20 mb of monthly uploading of photos. The "pro" account costs only $24.95 per year and gives you 2gb of monthly uploading.

You can use Flickr and search for Creative Commons licensed images. Most artists that release their images to CC upload them at large sizes. Be sure to read the rules the copyright holder has put on the image and if any terms must be met before you do such. Don't enlarge more than a little bit, it's easy for an image to start falling apart when you scale it out too much.

Use Photobucket it's so easy! And if you want to use a picture of the internet if you get a user account, you open the picture webpage rightclick it and click properties and highlight the url and copy it then login to photobucket click my album click upload from url paste the url into the url feild then you can enter a description and click upload or right after clicking my album it will automaticly be set to upload from computer click browse and select photo click ok enter description and click upload it uploads it to your album either way!!!! And you do all of this because if you want to put pictures on the internet and you have to use the url that is NOT LEAGLE but if you upload it gives you a DIFFRENT url so it really is leagle because it is not the real url. And you need a url for your computer pic's so it gives you one!!! And if you want you can get a FREE web site for your photos!!!
