Hard disk: ST320420A
CPU: Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.0GHz

I already remove all partition in this hard disk and re-create and format it. Howeve, under harddisk properties nly show 7.85G.

I have test this hard disk using seagate tool and other windows tool, no error or bad sector occur.

Have someone there experience the same?

Seagate Barracuda 20.4G ATA II

This harddisk have been formatted. Its currently blank space. Maximum partition allow only around 7.85G. Using seagate tools also detect only 7.85G.

Is it about not supported by new Windows version?

Last time its work properly in Windows 98

Remove any programs that you don't use or need. Remove all of those "Free Software" files that were loaded on the computer when you got it. Go to your Internet options and delete the temporary files. Do a "Defrag". Sometimes when you delete a partition, there are some left over hidden files.

when creating the new partition are you allowing the partition created to use the maximum available space.
