I think he is just a mouth piece for the Imams that hold the real power in Iran. There was a cruise ship that was high jacked 20 years ago and the survivors have made claims that he was one of the terrorists involved. They shot a Jewish passenger who was in a wheel chair and threw him over board in front of his wife. If he is the same guy then I would say he is nothing but trouble for the middle east and America.

The interesting this is that until 2005, Iran had a progressive, secular peaceful government that wasn't involved with terrorist groups. In response to recent actions in the mid-east, that govt was voted out of office, and replaced with a hard-line authoritarian, terrorist-friendly govt.
It seems the population of the country felt threatened by US aggression in the region, and demanded that their govt protect them from the threat. So, they elected someone to protect them.
And the cycle keeps going round and round.

He is a puppet of the Ayatollahs. He is far more reasonable than he seems, but he is nonetheless a threat to the peace.
