Currently there are 12 people in space - 6 on the shuttle, 3 on the ISS, and 3 on their way to the station aboard a Soyuz. Has there ever been more people in space at the same time?

twelve is the most i have heard of-- by the way, the person who said there was once 25 people in space, thats impossible because this is a record...

when they sent a 12 to mars

same time they had a 25 member team visit antoher planet

plus whatver they had on mir at that time
