why do they insist that a team that hasn't challenged for the cup since the 40's is going to make the finals every year?
anyone with any insight? leaf fans need not apply.

the last Stanley cup the Leafs won was in 1966-67 season that's 40 year from today, this is the Leafs 40th anniversary they should trough a parade cause they will not see the cup for another 40 years. they truly suck, they keep thinking they can challenge for the cup but they have nobody. and its so true that they really think they will win it every year, i think its cause of the press and media that drills it in to there heads.

Since the '40s? So the Cups in the '50s and '60s don't count?
I have yet to hear any Make Belief fan say or think their team will get to the Final EVERY year. I said they were delusional not insane, as you suggest.

No. They are the most loyal and passionate. Whenever the Leafs play in Buffalo why is the building half filled with Leaf fans? Because it is so hard to get tickets to the games in Toronto.

I'm not a Leaf fan, but I have respect for them. They are loyal. I live in Los Angeles where all the fans seem to be fare weather fans. The Leafs have history, and more power to their fans for sticking by them even though they haven't won in so long... or even played well for that matter!!

I can't stand the Maple Leafs but you have to give their fans credit, they are very loyal which is the way you are suppose to be for your team. You shouldn't jump on the bandwagon when the team is doing good then abandon ship when it starts going down.

Yes... Many Leafs fan are coming here in Montreal, what I hate about it is that many of them are insulting people on the street! I've saw a few battles outside, crazy people!
