I hope nothing, the other night I dreamed that my son died, I woke up the same way. I told my mom that day and we both almost cried. It's insane. I think it just means that we're afraid of losing that person. Or a new beginning for that relationship, or for that person. It will be interesting to see what other people tell you.

A person’s life is full of dreams. Dream can be about one’s ambition which he gets fulfilled with the passage of time thru his own hard work, intelligence, good planning and with the blessings of Almighty. Another is day dreaming which is really not a good habit and can be controlled with one’s will power. But what about the dreams a person experiences during sleep. Do they hv effect in our real life? What do they mean? What is their interpretation? The person asks to his friends, elders and seniors in his social circle. Sometimes he gets satisfactory reply and sometimes not. These days Internet is a rich source of information. So one does not need to depend on others for one’s dream interpretation. The Yahansmaniac Community member suggests the following.

A dream of death can symbolize the fear of something coming to an end. It doesn't mean literally a death- just ending. Don't worry.
By being specifically about someone you love, it could mean that you have some subconscious concerns about his health or well-being. Just to make yourself relax, call him & see how he's doing, and make sure you tell him you love him!

It is more than a guilt conscience. Dreaming of loved one's dealth could mean that it is a reminder of things you have not done. Subconsciously you are telling or reminding yourself to have better or more communication with you dad.

Waking up crying could show your fear of losing him. It is normal. I don't think it is prophetic. However, death comes in the matter of time. All you have to do now is to get back and have more conversation with him.

I've always been told a dream about death symbolizes a birth. A dream about a birth symbolizes a death

This may mean some type of unconscious resentment towards them, or a desire for you to be an independent person. But the usual conscious response to this type of dream would be self anxiety.

one explanation for dreaming about the death of a loved one is that you fear the death of your relationship, especially if you have argued with that person, or if he has withdrawn emotionaly from you.if you are sad about the dream then it could be a warning from your unconscious that you should mend the emotional distance between you and him befor the relationship dies or becomes too distant.

Usually, this means that it's time to move on.
You've been working on some problem, or there has been something that you've clung to for the past few years, and it's time to move along to something else.
