You guys are doing great. Did any of you ever watch "Gunsmoke."? It had lots of humor and then of course there was Matt Dillon!!! I've loved him for as long as I can remember.

Festus came running up to Doc Adams to tell him that Matt Dillon had been shot by an outlaw. Doc Adams gathered up his bag but Festus tried to hurry him along by saying "Hurry up, you old scutter, before he bleeds to death." Doc hurried to Matt's side and told him he would need stitches. Matt declined by telling him, "Doc, it's only a scratch." Doc insisted he take it easy the rest of the day but Matt is a hard man to keep down. Festus insisted, saying "Well, golly bill, Matthew...you'll stay still if I have to sit on you." Miss Kitty, not realizing what had happened, came upon the tail end of this conversation and told him, "Matt, you promised you'd go on a picnic with me. I swear if you back out of this, my heart is going to remember this well beyond today." Matt smiled and told her "That's pretty deep for a redhead. Well come on, pretty lady...let's get out of Dodge."

Miss Kitty was in deep thought when she suddenly said, "Oh well." Doc overheard her and said, "that's pretty deep for a redhead." They both looked up when Matt came into the Long Branch Saloon. His left hand was bleeding slightly and Festus asked, "Well, golly bill, Matthew, what happened?" Doc then said, "Festus, you old scutter, can't you see Matt's hurt." Doc, it's only a scratch said Matt. I had to tell the town drunk to get out of Dodge or go to jail and he bit me. I'll be all right.
Then Miss Kitty spoke up and said, "Are you sure, Matt, you promised you'd go on a picnic with me."

"You old scutter! Hold still!" said Doc as he reached for his suturing kit.
"Doc, its only a scratch," Said Matthew as he nervously eyed the rather large suturing needle that Doc normally used on horses, getting threaded.
"Well, golly, bill, Matthew. I didn't know you knew so much about medicine. Where was it that you graduated medical school from, again? Oh, that's right. You didn't. So why don't both your smart mouth and your medical advice just get out of Dodge. Quit squirming."

well, golly bill, Matthew, thats not what i told you about that gal, you old scutter. It was about when i told Doc, it's only a scratch and he told me that's pretty deep for a redhead, and i was sure he meant blonde. Besides, Matt, you promised you'd go on a picnic with me and if you don't keep your word, you'd best get out of Dodge!!!!!

I would have, but I was somewhat insulted by the very 1st one (I'm a redhead) and I couldn't focus on the rest. I guess THAT'S pretty deep...for a redhead.
