I'm looking for a cheapish (20$-70$) dress for homecoming. Knee length. Black or Yellow. Maybe emerald or red.

Everyone is getting a polka dotted one though.

Macy's is where everyone gets their dress, I don't want the same dress as someone else.

Any suggestions where I can get a dress that's pretty, but unqiue and kinda cheap.

Firstly, if everyone is getting polka dots, that would be the last thing I'd buy; who wants to look like the herd?
I love the yellow dress too (number1) -- very elegant, but also one of the more expensive. My one reservation is this: it's strapless; when you're bopping around the homecoming dance, are you sure that the top is going to stay up, or conversely, will your bosom stay covered? (Do I sound like your Mom...OOPS!)
The second dress, the black oriental-ish number is elegant and, I think, unusual. It'd look great with some strappy, sandal-ly heels, black or silver.
Have you thought about going vintage (a la Julia Roberts or Winona Rider)? There are "high end" secondhand or "twice around" shops that have very trippy clothes at very reasonable prices. (Think Molly Ringwald in "Pretty in Pink".)
Have a great time at your homecoming!

i dont know where you can get a dress but here are some tips: if you want to stand out dont go for a plain looking dress that is halter top or polka dotted. that is what evryone will be wearing. find a dress with a unique cut and that looks really cool when you spin around.

but if you find a dress that you like that violates all the rules then get it. your the one who will be in it and you are also the one buying it so who cares what others think, just do what you want.

good luck!

Go to any bridal store or boutique and/or go to David's Bridal. Both have nice selections. (don't forget to check out their discount racks...sometimes they are from last season or just with a broken strap and easy to fix....really good pricing)

websites for dresses:
www.nordstrom.com
www.macys.com
www.ebay.com
www.forever21.com
www.urbanoutfitters.com
www.JCPenney.com

The best place to shop for me is asos.com I get what's trendy and hot for a affordable price and I look like a celebrity

and from my boyfriends point of view: Homecoming dresses have to be pretty yet simple. They can't be all glittery or ruffled like a prom dress. Like I say, that's a big no-no. Wear a strapless light pink gown. It'll look cute.

I like the first one best. I bought mine at Style American, the cool thing about that was that they took down my school's name so that no one else could have the same dress as me, which was awesome and a relief!! So maybe check them out! Click on the Joli prom link to check out some of their dresses. Mine was a bright lime green color, I loved how unique it was.

if you dont like what they have here, hope you find something else, and have a good time!

the version is that homecoming outfits are greater like those you notice in attractiveness pageants and issues like that. they are often finished length and can be in simple terms as dressy as prom outfits. With a prom gown, something is going: length, variety, decrease, formality, you call it.

Go to the Ebay store Designers Bargains. She has a ton of clothes...cheap. And you won't be wearing what everyone else has.
