Why is it that people who use the Internet and all of its fixings, feel that it is alright to use horrible spelling and grammar. Do people not realize it makes them appear less intelligent? You can not write like you speak. The world would be a better place, I know it. Use proper spelling and grammar. Please.

Preach on. What is even more absurd is that there is a spell check button for almost every application on a computer, yet it seems that no one uses it. Maybe it is just sheer laziness. (By the way, I like to think of it more as the death of intelligence. It seems more appropriate.)

With the Internet being nearly world-wide, it is quite probable that for many who use it, English is a "second" or "third" or "fourth" language.

Many have moved to England from other countries and so have not learned proper English.

Schools seem to be graduating many who can neither write nor spell well.

Some of us consider the Internet as a means of conveying ideas and as long as we do that well it does not need to be grammatically correct. However, correct spelling and reasonably good grammar often make it easier to understand what is written.

Well don't worry about it for too much longer. In about 50 years, we'll all be speaking Spanish it seems anyways.
