2001 Maxima 4 wheel disk. The ABS light is on. The mechanic said it was the drivers rear wheel sensor. I pulled the wheel off and I thought it would just plug in and out...there seems to be a wire...how long is it, how do I change that ABS sensor?

Same car- changed Mass Air Flow unit today. NISSAN says I must reflash the ECU since it's an updated part. Is this true or a scam...they want $85. Seems to run find check engine light is on and now it says Mass Air Flow P0100.

Well first things first.
The wire is most of the time pluged into the senser on the wheel. It comes right off.
Next the computer must be reset. Take it to autozone and have them reset the computers ecu.The ECU means the electronic controll unit( also refurted to as the cars computer.
Here is why. When you change a part the computer thinks it is still the old part. Untill you reset the computer it will not correct the problum Once you reset it the computer will detect the input from the new part and read it correctly it will then run correctrly
