The control of an experiment is what u keep stable or something that u never chnage while doing ur expirement. Like you will have many trials with ur manipulated variable. But u will also have a control that will be fixed and most likely wont go against ur hypthesis. if this isn't enough send me a im! i would love to explain it again. But if u get this i hope it helps!

the control does not receive the experimental variable. in human trials or experiments, no one knows who is part of the control group.
