To remove candle wax-put brown paper bag over wax and iron with warm iron-wax goes onto bag-if candle wax goes inside an object try heating object in double boiler..or if weather on your side, put object in sun and let wax melt naturally.
If you splill wax on carpet..put ice cube to harden it and then scrape off as much as possible..next take a warm iron and put brown paper bag on spots and iron..brown paper bag will absorb the remaining wax..

Get an old washcloth you don't mind throwing away, rinse and wring out with water, leaving slightly damp, place it over the wax, and set a hot clothes iron on it for a few seconds. The cloth will wick the wax to it, and remove it. Sometimes you must do this more than once with a different part of the washcloth, and if the candle had heavy color dye, the dye may permanently stay, but at a much reduced state. I used to work in restaurants, and this was a neat trick I learned.

Fold a paper towel into a pad. Place it over the wax and rub the paper towel with a warm iron. Keep the heat on low so you don't burn the table cloth. The wax will be absorbed into the paper towel. You may have to turn the towel a couple of times as the wax is absorbed into the towel Good Luck !

Depending on the fabric, you can boil water and run the boiling hot water through the candle wax, softening it and making it easier to scrape off. Washing it in hot water may actually spread the candle wax so be careful. If it's a delicate material, you should try just chipping the candle wax off with your fingernail.

The paper bag may work, or try an old clean rag on the spot, then a piece of wax paper, then a medium iron. That will draw the wax out but if its a colored stain on a light material, I'm not sure how to get that out. Try some Pine Sol maybe. Good luck.

Best way is to get a hair dryer and direct the heat on the wax to melt it then wipe it off or wash it in hot water. This will loosen the wax and make it easier to remove.

Take a hairdryer and blow on it on low heat. It takes a while, but the wax will start to evaporate before your eyes. You can get almost all of it out that way.
