Find something else to do that can keep you busy when you feel the urge. Like a hobby such as dancing in your room or something, listening to music, sketching, writing, watching tv, go on the computer, painting, cleaning, go for a walk...you get the idea. That will really help to get your mind concentrated on something else! Good luck!

It sounds like an impulsive behavior. Impulsive behaviors then have strategies to address them. The most common is substitution, purposely do something else when the urge hits. Avoidance is a big one. Understanding is another one, why you do it. A still different one is reducing the pleasure or increasing the cost.

I have some impulsive behavior, the one I don't mind sharing is shaking a bottle of Italian dressing on the grocery shelf (you know, the oil and vinegar separate, so I shake it so that it is an homogenous body). Another is counting things (aisles, chairs, windows, etc.). With the one, I purposely turn my hand away when wanting to reach. With the other, I look away or at different things than I was tempted to count.

Instead of rubbing yourself between your legs, you could start dancing. Instead of fondling your breasts you could run your fingers through your hair. My wife thinks I have a sexual addition, so she cuts me off cold turkey. I look up answers to questions in a forum like this instead of doing cybersex at some chat rooms or looking porn pictures because of my urges. I also steel myself and sometimes cry silently in the dark when she turns away and it has been two or three months since the last time.

It isn't going to be easy, but find a pattern that deflects. There is also the masochistic solution, which I have sometimes done, masturbate with soap until I rub it raw and the soap starts to burn. That gets things left alone when all else fails. Since your plumbing is different, you might find a different tack on that. Good luck, seriously.

I personally believe that masturbation (before marriage or with thoughts outside of your husband) is wrong. I struggled with it before but got through it. I am a Christian so my relationship with God helped me alot but otherwise, don't put yourself in situations that make you feel tempted. If you masturbate in the shower, take a bath or set a time limit, throw away any sex toys you may have, don't allow yourself to be sexually aroused by avoiding sexual books, music, tv, or conversations with men. Keep yourself busy with a hobby or find a new, positive addiction like reading going for a hike (physical activity helps alieviate sexual tension). Develop a system where you add something you don't like or take away spmething you like when you do it. If these don't work, see a counselor. Don't be ashamed, they deal with worse things.

All sex is like drugs, the more you get it the more you want. So wean yourself, a little less each day. I don't think absolutely everyone does it. I think its a bit like tickling myself - can't make myself laugh.
