Right you need to go on Revenue and Customs website and also onto Jobseeker Direct. If you are not at school, not working and living independently of your parents you are entitled to Jobseekers Allowance, which will change to Income Support when you are 24 weeks pregnant until the baby is 12 weeks old. Keep harassing your Local Housing Auhtority to give you a house. You won't get child benefit or childrens tax credits until you have the baby, but you should get help paying the rent and council tax bills on your house. You are also entitled to free milk tokens straight away, which you can use for baby milk powder after the baby is born. The rules ay be slightly different for a minor (under 18), but this is the gist. Good luck hun!

Your local welfare office should be able to offer some financial assistance,as well as placement for living quarters,a job,and day care for the child you're expecting.
Also.........You are certainly entitled to a GED.
After reading your question I strongly suggest that you further your education at every opportunity you get!
I don't mean to sound insulting, but you won't get far at your current level of literacy. If you educate yourself you'll be better able to find a career and hopefully raise your child in a better fashion. And we all know that, statiscally speaking,a child raised by a single parent is already at a disadvantage.Get your learn on now, while the opportunity is still there! You will gain a certain sense of self reliance which you can pass on to your child by example!
And maybe one day you can get off welfare and be a self reliant parent.

You should not get any help from anyone.. You made your bed, you had sex in it, now suffer... No one has to support you. YOu thought you were grown by having sex,,, now be grown....
You and others like you are why so much money is being taking out real grown ups checks,, welfare and whatever else you can get... Try taking care of your own kid,,, The daddy, where is he, get him for child support and you get a job and stay in school . It will be hard but you brough it on your self!!! Sounds mean , well sometimes the truth is rough.

there are places that you can go to like a home for young single mothers...they provide a roof over your head....and what they do is pay all your living expenses which they take out of your benefits, you are better off there than living in a place of your own for now....contact your mother and tell her the situation, ask her for some help, also claim for child mainatinance from the baby's father, after all it's his baby too, he was the one who got you preggers...the council will eventually give you a place of your own, but be careful because there are alot of housing estates that they put young single mums in, some are a bit rough...next time honey use protection, you are waaaay too young to be having a baby, if you have this baby your life will be restricted, you will have a baby, no money, a crappy little council house in a dump full of other single mums of your own age, the benefits you will recieve (especially at your age) is near to nothing, you need to get on the phone to your mum and tell her, she may be upset now but once it sinks in she will be there for you....good luck

You are entitled to child support. Get the dad to pay. Put the baby up for adoption so you will have a better life for yourself and your baby.
