I've gone through four different crabs now, and a couple of starfish in a matter of 3 weeks... My water's been tested fine, and I just can't seem to keep them alive... THe tank is 200 gallons, wet/dry system, and all the regular fish are fine, oh ya, the snails keep dieing off too... Please help...

Do your have a wrasse? They are not as safe as most people say. You might also consider one of your other hermit crabs. They keep killing each other and my snails. The only snails I can seem to keep are bumblebee and giant (golf ball size) turbo snails.

The way you are describing your situation is that all inverts die. I would have to say you need to check and see what your copper test shows you. I have a son that when he was a Todler put a penny into my sump and I could not figure out why all my inverts were dieing. I broke down my sump as a last resort and found the penny all crusted over and eaten away but still there and it had raised my copper level to a toxic level. other than that also test for silicate and phosphates. I hope this help you out. Good luck and best wishes to you and getting this under control.

I know you said you tested your water, but go ahead and check your nitrates. Wet/dry systems can cause a build of nitrates. Some Inverts are more sensitive to high nitrate levels.
