I am a Social Science major (senior) at San Diego State University in California. I would ultimately like to become a Professor, but I don't know what Masters degree I should peruse. I am thinking about Public Policy. Is there anyone out there who has this graduate degree? Is any one in my situation? Does any one have a Suggestion? Please give me some advice.

You want to pursue a degree, not peruse it.
Public Policy is a possibility, but you really can't choose your destiny by polling people on the internet. What interests you? Believe me, if the focus of your master's degree isn't compelling enough to become the center of your universe for a couple of years, you are in for a dreary time. Social Sciences offer a wide range of possibilities. Go through them with your counsellor on campus, and correlate the possibilities with the strengths in your current program.
Good luck.

I am planning on getting a MPP and planning on eventually becoming a professor. An MPP is not an academic degree, but a practical degree to work on policy issues either for the government, a candidate, or as a lobbiest. If you want to be a professor you need a PhD. There are PhDs in public policy, but a PhD is political science would lead to more job opportunities. I am getting a MPP to work for the Department of Education for a while before I go back to get my PhD and teach and raise kids.

Good Luck!

Schools are in great need for speech pathologists and Special Ed. Teachers and ESL teachers.....(how to teach non-English-speaking students)

If you plan on having kids, then teaching or working for the school system is a good idea. It cuts back on paying for daycare in the summer and holidays. AND you get to spend alot of time with your kids.
