I work at a Winn Dixie and get tips every once in a while so i was wondering should a bagger get tips for the extra service I am handing out.

The answer to that depends on store policy. If the policy is tipping is allowed then getting tips is fine (please thank them when they tip you). If the policy is no tipping then you should tell the customer the policy and refuse the tip. If you don't like the policy (if its no tipping) then you should find a job at a store that allows tipping.

It depends on the store policy . I don't think Winn Dixie has anything against it . I live here in Orlando, and I tip my baggers if they help me to the car !

I think it is perfectly acceptable for a bagger to accept tips, particularly if part of your job involves carrying bags to or loading bags into the customer's car. I don't think you should solicit tips, at least not through anything but your hard work.

If the customer wants to tip you, take it. Its just a act of appreciation.

Well, it's just like waitresses don't have to have tips - but they do. It's because the customer likes you, and that should be the biggest reward of them all.

If someone gives you a tip, its ok, you did not ask them to give it. They are showing you they are thankful for what you are doing for them.
