If you really want to know what it takes to make it in the NHL, read the books, "So Your Son Wants to Play in the NHL" and "So You want to Play in the NHL" both books are by Dan and Jay Bylsma. Dan spent 9 or 10 years in the NHL with LA and the Duck. He went to the 2003 finals with the Ducks. Both will give you great insight into what it really takes. You can find them at www.danbylsma.com

To late bubba, most players start playing when they'tr 3-4 years old. Skating, stick handling, leg strength, everything when they're little. 15 is too late. Roller will not help you because it isn't exactly the same.

well....sorry to say....playing roller hockey won't get you into the nhl....but if you dedicate yourself to ice hockey your chances increase.
because your age...it sounds like you have not had much experience....you might not be a top pick either
the problem is many players started at a very young age...in fact....a lot of people are groomed to play hockey......but don't lose hope....there are some players who started late too and they still made it to the nhl.....a lot of top players were never even drafted......but the bottomline is you have to dedicate yourself to hockey.....waking up at 5:00 a.m. for a quick breakfast...training....skating...go to school....training....eat....skating....working out....sleeping to rest your aching muslcles......on top of that daily routine...... working on your skills....stick handling....puck control......balance.....speed....
and to mention taking of yourself when you get hurt.
you want big time.....hockey has to be your life...and life can only be hockey

if you mean the nhl league with the professionals, then no. Maybe when you get older they will have a professional team for roller blading.
