They took out the Haunted House? I didn't know that!

The Haunted Mansion is my favorite. It is also the only attraction that is in a different land in every Disney park (Disneyland - New Orleans Square, Disney World - Liberty Square, Paris - Frontierland, Tokyo - Fantasyland).
The Haunted Mansion has not been closed or removed due to age. It is in fact a younger attraction at Disneyland than the Fantasyland dark rides like Peter Pan and Snow White which existed on opening day in 1955. The Mansion at Disneyland wasn't opened until 1969.
The only closure occurs every September and every January, and then only in Disneyland and Tokyo. Disney redecorates the ride as "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and has characters from that film appearing throughout the Christmas season.
Disneyland's version has just had major improvements installed in 2005 and 2006, so yes the Mansion is still open and will remain so.

Hello! The spinning teacups! Anything Alice and Wonderland is me! And I wish they still had that Haunted House...It was so old they took it down, it was cheesy but so fun!
I have to admit I LOVE the peter pan ride. I always wear white so I can glow in the dark, one of these times I am going to fall out if I am not careful!\
And what about that island? Was it Tom Sawyer? AKA Makeout reef...good times yes. I think that's where all the creeps hung out because everyone left their kids there, I think its better that that's gone now...

I always liked Space Mountain and The Matterhorn, with old-school respect for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

It'd have to be the ride where it's all dark inside and you go in a boat, I forget the name, but it was so awesome to be in a controlled environment that seemed so real.
