well you see, all of the people who spontaneously combusted had one thing in common, they all ate 16 packs of mentos before chugging 3 liters of diet coke. one liter with one pack would just make you throw up violently... but more than that and watch out!

It's still unexplained. It doesn't mean it's unexplainable, although it sure looks that way. Maybe in the future, science - or something else - will be able to explain it. So far, it's in the realm of supernatural phenomena.

Spontaneous combustion has not been solved by science nor, in my opinion, is it a supernatural event.

My opinion is that spontaneous human combustion is a load of hooey. The cases of it known to science were mostly a lot of hearsay and undocument hogwash. I would bet there is a very logical explanation for what happened to such "victims".

I think people's atoms speed up to the point of fission and they overheat, burn and die. Why? I don't know. Maybe the random effect of solar flares or sunspots on a very select few? Genetic tendency? Sensitivity to a variety of organic, electric and cosmic phenomenon? Those are my "opinions" and open questions in response to your question. Good question, by the way.

i don't think it is explainable by either side. Science was close saying it was a chemical reaction in the body that caused it but it was debunked
