I have a 2GB first-generation iPod nano. If I buy an audiobook from iTunes, can I play it on my iPod?

absolutely, no doubt. Once downloaded, it should be located in "Library" and "Audiobooks" in iTunes. Audiobooks is a convenient way to read a book in 2-3 hrs. Enjoy.

Yes! You can absolutely play audiobooks. What you cant play are: movies, videos, music videos, tv shows, games, and such.

should be able to, it's just an audio file right. but you might not get all the functionality, I know that the latest ipods support chapter markers. try updating your pod's software for a better experience
