Brian Ferry’s cover of Rescue Me is fantastic… I love Siouxsie and the Banshees cover of The Passenger… Braindead Sound Machine’s version of Walking After Midnight is pure fun, so is Genitorturers cover of Squealer… The Cowboy Junkies do a killer version of Sweet Jane. But, for all the great covers of songs out there, my all time favorite is Joan Jett doing Do You Wanna Touch Me.
If you’re really into covers, you should check out the band Nouvelle Vague… 80’s punk and new wave songs done in a bossa nova style. Much better than I can describe it…
