It is hard for someone to tell someone else how to get over, or move on from a bad relationship....because everyone deals with their problems in different ways. You may just want to focus on what makes you happy, and work at figuring out who you are, and what you want. The important thing is to work it out with yourself, though...its really important, because, until you have worked it out in your own head, you will never really be able to truly move on.
Best of luck...I hope you find someone who can truly make you happy!

you need to sit down and look at the whole picture and think if you were happier with him than w/o him and how so. have your family and best friends help you with this-they can tell you the red flags that you have been missing. listen to what others have to say before you go back and forth again.then think if it is all worth it? you being confused and being in the state of being that you are in.no person will be perfect yet people can change if they want to and they have the will: think of this-is this the guy you would like to get married to or can you do better? and be honest with your answer. my bf is confused and confusing and has flaws yet it took him almost 1 year to start working on changing some things-flaws- for the best. the thing is that love makes you blind, makes you stupid things but you are young and have many guys who would love to date you. think if this guy is actually worth it before you do something.

You will eventually leave him for good when you are ready. Everyone has flaws. What bad things or sick things has he done? Would you want to be with someone like that much longer. Are you willing to take a risk and just be alone long enough to see the light? How would you feel if your friend was in this relationship--what advice would you give her? Think of it that way.
The best way to get over someone like that is to remind yourself of why they are not good for you and then to ---love again one day. Give yourself a chance to be treated with respect and to respect yourself.

I think you never really get over someone you truly love even though you moved on for what was best for both of you.

You have special memories between you that no one else can ever replace no matter what.

I was married for 10 years and with him for 13 years. We divorced because of bad things, but there were also goo things in our marriage. I hate hearing when everyone says I am so much better off now because he wasd a jerk. What they didn't see was the 90 % of our marriage that was good. We were best friends and had so much fun together. He just made some really bad choices in his life and it made it impossible for us to stay together. I am dating again and am happy with the man that I am with now. He is very different from my ex and we are creating new memories. I can not say I am really over my ex though because there are memories with him and I that no one can ever repalce. I spent almost half of my life with him.

Don't let ayone tell you that you should or should not be over him. That is for you and you alone to decide. I believe that you can love someone forever even though you are not with them.

Don't listen to the people who tell you to have a one night stand. That is the coward's way out and solves nothing. If you simply don't like this guy, and it sounds like deep inside you don't, then do the right thing, let him go, and figure out what it is that you want and then go after it. Don't waste his time if you're going to focus on his flaws. It isn't healthy for either of you.

We just have to do the best we can. We all have many flaws. Loving somebody is good. Whatever happens or doesn't. Maybe confusion is sign of growing and thinking.

Hmm... I'd say that while you may love him maybe you're not ready to settle down... OR... maybe you don't love him but you just don't want anyone else to have him. Yes, it makes sense. But ultimately, the best way to get over someone is to find someone else.... I don't mean to just go and get someone random, go out with someone that you have feelings for and it may build, then before you know it * BAM * he's an old memory. Either way though.. you need to sort out the main source of your problem, one of which, is most likely to be one of the two that I just listed.

Just distance yourself from him and try to find someone new. It's hard to get over someone you really care about, no matter how awful of a person they are. You can't help how you feel. Just try to keep your eyes open for soemone new and try to forget about this guy. If you spend all of your time loving the same person, even though you know it can't last, you might miss the person who you're really supposed to be with.
Does that make any sense?

That is kind of hard to do. The best you can do is try and move on with your life. Do things that you really like to do. Surround yourself with people that love you. And hopefully someday you will find someone that you love even more. And hopefully that love will be for eternity.

I really hope things work out for you!!! <3 :-)
