I know it doesnt happen to everyone so dont get thrown by "after" smoking. Its more like after Emphyzema.

A stoma is any small opening. The mouth or an artificial opening between two cavities or channels or between any cavity or tube and the exterior.

Tracheostoma is an opening into the trachea through the neck.

Tracheostomy. A direct opening into the trachea through the neck to facilitate breathing or removal of secretions. The artificial opening or Stoma so produced.

I don't know of any hole you get in your throat from smoking other than a surgially placed one (trach) because of throat cancer or the inability to breath normally.

no a stoma is used with colon cancer or a resectioned colon, a tracectomy is what it is called
