bootdisk.com is a god-send to those of us who need a bootable win98 cd that has cdrom support. It has saved me hours and hours of trouble now that we live in a Windows XP world

However:
It won't help you at all if you have lost your win98 cd. You will have to borrow one that is just like yours (same version .. for example 2nd edition) and then you can use your key. I do not know of any site that will allow you to download the cd -- usless without the key .. but Microsoft used to have big DO NOT COPY signs on the cd's so I doubt the success of finding one on line.

ps.
If you boost to WinXP make sure you have 256mb to 512mb of ram. Processor best to be equal or faster than 300mhz.

Its a place to download a boot floppy to reformat and reinstall windows! You wont get a win98 cd key there!

If you lost the cd, bootdisk.com is not going to help. I believe that It meant for people who can't get into their systems for reasons like a corrupted MBR.
