It has been rather rainy the past couple of days, so the terrarium is too humid. The humidity level is at 85%. How do I bring it back down to 70% quickly so that it doesn't effect my tarantula?

Calcium chloride works but it is corrosive. It will kill your pet if it comes in contact with her. or she ingests the chemical.
Get a bag of silica jell from the pet store. It's inert and will mop up the moisture in the air. The blue colored silica jell will change from blue to pink when full of water. Mild heating dries the jell turns it blue and it is ready for reuse.
Spiders are wonderful pets.

Air it out, for starters. If you have a container to place your tarantula into, then put it in there, and just leave the top off the terrarium for a bit. Mop up extra moisture on the sides with a paper towel. Turn off the heater during the day, if you use one.

Use calcium chloride, ofeten called damp rid it can be bought in small hanging bags for ur clothes closet in a few hour, u would be amazed at how much water it sucks out of the air in the tank, just make sure it's hanging out of reach of ur taran..., another Idea is to hang a 60 watt light bulb over the tank just enough heat to evaporate the moisture but not enough to over heat ur baby. Remember taran.. have book lungs that must stay moist, so do ur reserearch to find out the optimal temp and humidity, lots of luck

Try allowing more air to flow and reducing your lighting or heat pads. Be careful not to drop the himidity level too quickly.
