I don't have an answer because personally, I think it is all fiction. But I have a question, if I may. Why do some people say you are disrespecting Jesus if you ask questions about stories from the Bible? I just don't get that. Are you suppose to accept everything at face value?
By the way, I thought it was a very good question. Keep 'em coming.

why does it matter, if blair was declared dead and rose after 3 days would you vote for him and make a religion from his teachings based on the belief that he cheated death bodily or spiritually.
people follow the teachings of christ because they believe in the way he conducted his life and the way he thought people should behave.....period. In a barbaric world he was a man before his time, whether he was real or fiction, it doesnt matter, now does it.

i think that since he was put in the tomb right after the crucification...he wouldnt decompose too much. but he would still be dead. i guess it depenz on your definition of a zombie. i think that technically, no, according to the story because he was supposed to be an alive kind of risen from the dead, not a living dead kind of risen from the dead ya know.

Good Q . also when they drink 'the blood of Christ and eat the body are they canibals ? as for the big JC rising from the dead - do that after a bottle of whisky - so maybe he had a powerful pain killer after all

This is precisely why we refer to Easter as Zombie Jesus Day around here. (Quite common phrase locally, actually, for some reason...)

My question is why wait 3 days? Can you imagine being the drunk that watched the physical body of christ rising through the air on his way to heaven? I wonder if Jesus waved...
Peace!
