I agree. I definitely don't think black people should use that word. I feel that when blacks use it, it makes white people want to use it even more. Then they use the fact that black people say it as a way to justify it. The only way to abolish the use of the n word is for the black community to stop using it. Then hopefully others will follow. But, if we don't care enough to stop using it... then why should they care?

I'm with you on that one 100 percent...it is one irritating word..it's so degrading..especially when teens and people in my age group use it amongst themselves and they'll call a person of a different race that they are "cool" with the n-word. It's like are you crazy...you don't hear Asians or Arabs or people of other races embrace racial slurs as names to call each other. How do you embrace a word that came from just a negative place in history? It's so ignorant. Thank you for that.

I don't use it and I don't like hearing other blacks using it. As has already been said other races see that blacks use it and then think it is alright to use it themselves. On a number of occasions I've had to 'warn' white friends after they called me that because other blacks friends of theirs use it and they thought it would be alright with me.

I totally agree with you that we should stop the use of this word immediately.

You know I'm white and my grandpa's nickname is the n word. We lived in a part of the US that had NO black people. They gave him that nickname because he was a hard worker.
