well theres two kinds of best friends to me.
1. the kind that will be friends and only friends
2. the kind that will be friends with a potential to elevate the friend relationship into an actual relationship.

if you (myself) are in the first case and that happened to me id probably tell her something like 'just friends' but in a more sincere way.
if you (myself) was in the second situation id be really happy cuz who knows.... your friend may have been wanting to do something like that for a long time but was unsure of the response so i say asess the friendship carefully and try to figure out if your friend wants to go number one or number two and then go from there. if they want to go number one but you want two, ask/tell him straight out that you want to up the relationship level and see how he responds....
in the ends hes your BEST friend and one little question or one little kiss wont break up that friendship.

Wouldn't do anything, except smile, hold her a little, atleast put my arm around her. If she has more in mind I'm sure she'll let me know. Guys have to be careful that we don't misinterpret a gesture by a gal. The kiss might have just been a friendly display of affection. Then again, might be a signal for something more. Best to just wait and see where she goes with it. Most of the time that happens it is merely a sign of affection, not a sexual advance.
