I booked a flight and can't get a refund. I was supposed to meet a lady and now she says we're over. Well, I'm not going to just book a flight and not go on it so I will be in London on the 28th of this month. I don't fancy wandering around in London alone and brokenhearted. I know this is a bit of a shot in the dark but if she doesn't show up by say 1 p.m. GMT it would be nice to have a friend to talk to. Feel free to IM me or email synchronicity915@yahoo.com

i would try the local pubs or internet cafes.
also met some interesting people at the hospital (don't ask).

Gee, the same thing happened to me once. I had arranged to fly and meet someone in London and they backed out a month before. I couldn't get a refund either so I decided to go on a tour instead of the country instead.
Talk to a travel agent about it. Maybe you can arrange something before you go.

Sorry to hear that. If no one takes you up on it, try the souvenier shops. You can find Americans in them. There's a big one near Trafalga, you can't miss it.
