I am not sure if both or even one is your real friend. It is hard to tell. If I were you, I would do whatever it took to get my money back. If that means being all nice and letting them talk behind your back, then ignore them and tell them that you need your money. If that is not your style or if that would not work, then be mean and nasty--get your money back. I don't understand what you meant by helping her pay for him, but stop giving them any money. They are not treating you with respect, so they are not worthy of your help. Their personal problems are theirs and you do not need to be included. I know that you are aware of that by your details and all. I am just agreeing with you. Just find a way to get your money settled in a productive manner. Then get away from them until they can treat you as a friend and as a human being. Friends suck sometimes. If the money was not a substantial amount or loss on your end, then after trying to get it back, you may want to write it off as a learning experience and just get away from their negativity. Let them know that they have hurt your feelings and that you do not want to see either of them until they grow up. You will be better off in the long run. They may change their attitudes later or they may not. Either way, you will be fine. You don't need people who bring you down.

I'm not sure I totally understand all the details of everything.... Explain to them that from now on you don't want to be in the middle of their problems, because it's too hard & it's not fair because they both mean alot to you. Ask if you can all sit down & have a calm discussion so there's no bitching behind anyones backs etc. It seems like you just wanted to help them out & and do the right thing, but now it's totally backfired in your face.

If she can't communicate issues to your face then she is not a true friend and she and her boyfriend should pay you back for helping them then kiss your back cheeks and get out of your life...is that what you needed hear??? Good Luck Girl.
