ok i wanted to start watching it but i wanted to know if its like just starting a new season or if the season is lk just ending, also what season is this (1 or 2)

Possibly the best show out there; though marred by the reputation of others like Grey's Anataomy or Desperate Housewives.
If you're starting to watch the show for the first time then you should first watch the first season cuz the show is kinda llike a novel. Start from the middle won't understand anything.
Right now they are showing season 2.

It is season 2. Basically Scofield shot a gun in a bank to get himself put into prison. His brother was in prison for a crime he didn't commit. He was set up so that it looked like he killed the vice president. Scofield is brilliant. He got a tattoo of the prison to free himself and his brother. He falls in love with the nurse. He uses several people to escape. They escape with him and they are all now being stalked by the police and a clever FBI agent.
P.S. The vice president is still alive and there is 5 million dollars (or more I forget) buried that they are trying to get to.

This is season 2. god I love that show, I will give you the rundown of season 1
guy goes to prison for political conspiracy (is framed for killing president) People in government did it and set him up
brother is a genius gets put in prison to break brother out, has tattoo of whole prison layout on body to help break out
this is what first season was about, them being in jail and breaking out
some felons help them and break out with them too some die some live
2nd season is about them trying to clear brothers name, and make everyone know he is innocent

This is the second season, it has been on for 2 or 3 weeks now! I love this show! Wentworth Miller's eyes just melt my heart!!! That's Michael.
